Saturday Syrup

Hello All!

Today is Sunday and we just got back from church and SAMS. Dad got a REALLY comfy computer chair! (Acually, I think I'm on the home computer more than he is so it's MY chair:P) But this title is "Saturday Syrup" so I'll have to tell you about yesterday.

Dad and Ronaldo went to OK City at 5:00am for a soccer tournament. Little sister #1 and I made some August pies together. Well, OK not together. We took turns doing ingredients and reading ELSIE'S CHILDREN out loud. Baby Lily died in the story. It was her turn to read and I could barely hear anything. She cried and cried:P

Anyway the pies got done (we had them this morning for breakfast by the way:9) and then we heard Ronaldo's team made LAST PLACE and had to come home that night instead of the next day! Kinda good and kinda bad. They still outplayed everyone though. I made some French Toast and here's where the syrup part comes in. I sit by J man and he wants some syrup on his toast. I reach over and kinda miss the bottle and J man's hand was there so it fell over - spilling all over little sister #1 and my ELSIE'S CHILDREN book. So of course who cares that syrup's on the table, just grab the book. It was closed so it just got on the OUTISDE of the pages. Rinsed it off and ran a hair dryer through it. No crinkled up pages, no stains except for some in those front pages that don't have anything on them. Now you can't tell what happened besides the fact that it has a lovely scent of 100% pure, Vermont Maple Syrup!!!

OK, I'll Post Again:P

Hope all you Dads had a happy Fathers Day! (Red-head girlfriend and I had talked about whether it was it had a ' thing in FATHER' S. We decided we could spell it either way!) My Grandmas H and S were here and they left this morning. We went to OLIVE GARDEN and everywhere else to shop! We got the PRIDE AND PREJUDICE movie!!! They also bought an 16ft by 4ft swimming pool that we were planning on paying for ourselves BUT... our Grandma, Pawpaw, Grandpa, and Nana said they were paying for it! THANK YOU GRANDPARENTS!!!!!!!!!!!! It's sitting in the backyard waiting to get set up. Fun Stuff!

Tater-tot

Tater-tot is my cousin that is here right now. He'll be here for about 3 weeks. We were doing school still at first but now we're doing extra school for money instead of the Summer Reading Program. I think I'll do some vocabulary 2day for a dollar. I'm reading Pride and Prejudice now for 5 dollars. I started it for fun and now I'm getting money for it! FUN!!! I'm going to read Little Women soon. If anyone has any report of ERAGON by Christopher Paolini (I spelled that wrong, I just know it!) comment me on it. It looks like a fun read but you never know.

But anyway this doesn't have anything to do with Tater-tot except that he's participating. Ronaldo's having fun because TT is so close to his age. They've been playing soccer a lot. We're also currently making an FBI movie with our guest star. (Hi Ace Productions!:P I finished editing two movies and I'll probably be able to bring them next week.)

Piano Partying

I want to put this on a separate post just for the sake of putting another post in!:P
Laney and I went to a piano party at Britt's. Laney played her songs good and then I walk up and forget my song! Laney said, "Geez, and everyone knows you're my sister!" lol! I gathered my thoughts and got it right the second time. After that everyone went outside to eat. Yum! Some of the little guys were playing a game like musical chairs except you have to step on wooden circles. I got Hannah to play with me and even though Luke tried desperately to turn off the music and get me out of the game... I won and got some scrapbook paper! We played musical bingo and I didn't win. I get pegged with beans and little tree gumballs and then......Dad comes to pick us up! Fun time!

We were just about to have tea today when the doorbell rings. It was Grandma and Mangnay! What a Surprise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Week Off!

My Dad is off work this week so we get off school this week!!!!!!! (*Sigh* I love homeschooling!) We haven't been doing much at all which is really nice but I bet it wouldn't be nice forever!:D Last night or the night before we were all just laying around in the living room and Dad turned on all of the rocky, rappy, christian music you can think of! TOBYMAC, KUTLESS, POD, SKILLET, THOUSAND FOOT CRUTCH, etc. Man! Christian dances like a disco robot, it's soooo goofy! His true self comes out anytime this particular song comes on:P Mild-mannered Joshua has a loud voice that sings out rap songs adorably! I can't say that I wasn't going a little crazy too....Gave myself a headache slinging my hair around. I don't know if anyone noticed...Shhhhhhhh.

Ronaldo(my brother's favorite nick-name) had a tournament for state cup this weekend.
Mom wanted to go so Grandma came from Texas to stay with us. We went to SONIC, got snow-cones, went for walks, watched PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, ect. It was a lot of fun and all the boys behaved pretty well (Mom took baby Angel-Cakes with her)Grandma
left this morning. Today I read ELSIE DINSMORE, did some extra school,fixed the chain on my bike(with a hammer<:)and watched Ronaldo and J-man play XBOX (STAR WARS Episode III). We gave JM his own user and let him play single player for awhile. I think it's amazing how everything comes naturally to him. The very first time we let him try to play he struck more cool moves than we knew how!lol! Laura had dance today and I went and saw Hillary (fun) and now boys are all around me with guns! Aaaaaaahhh!!!

I wake up at 5:30 with my wonderful radio that starts playing at the right time.

Slowpoke Shoppers

Yesterday I went shopping with those chocolates that messed up their blog.(Ha,ha,ha you guys!) ;D We started at the book fair and I bought a couple of books, talked with Andies & Rolos, and got bonked in the head with a box by their cousin:P We went to some garage sales ( nothing good) and went to Taco Bell to wait for Reeses and Twix. Andies bought us lunch (sweet lil thang) and we laughed at each others faces when we all tried Twix's yucky coconut water! Then we went across the street to Name Brand Clothing. First thing we laid eye on was some prom dresses, so we picked some out and headed to the dressing room with the camera. I decided I didn't wanna do it (I'm so mean!) so I had fun laughing at and taking pictures of everybody else with Reeses's camera.(I'm sure I'm gonna get pictures soon!) We had fun looking around and lollygagging and before we knew it it was time to GO! And we had planned on going to at least two other places! Oh, Well. It was fun. Reeses talked me into letting her get me a skirt and some sashes while we were there. (actually, she literally shoved me into it. Ask the witnesses!) {Sweet lil thang!}

Friday

On Fridays we put up the school-work and clean house. Did that today. I got piano done and Christian got soccer done, so we played cooperative two player and a duel. (I won with one hit left till I died!) FUN!!! After that I made some pizza and rushed off to my neighbor's house to teach her piano. Now I'm back, Christian's at soccer and I'm writing on my blog. Later we're gonna watch Extreme Home Makeover and Funniest Home Videos. Should probably check if the pizza's done, so bye.

A Fix

Hey!!!

Reeses asked me on Wednesday if anything exciting was going on bleed-wise and I had to say no. Well, now on Thursday it's another story! Jesse just crawled in from outside while I was doing piano with his lip sticking out and the only clean spot on that red face being the parts the tears washed off - the most PITIFUL sight you ever saw! "Meggy, I need a band- aid!!!" I went over and this time there is no blood at all. Just a little red dot. I said, "Where?"

"Wite Hewe!" he bawls.

"Why do you need a band-aid? That's not a bleed."

" No, it's a scwape. And it needs a band-aid!"

"Why? What's a band-aid gonna do?"

"It's gonna be ON my knee!"

"Why does it need to be?"

"'Cause I got a SCRAPE!"

About here he starts getting frustrated and I give up and get him a band-aid. "Fank oo Meggy". Back to piano. 2 minutes later Christian comes in telling me to get Jesse in trouble for throwing a fit. He says Jesse hurt his knee while throwing the fit. Point of the fit is: He doesn't wanna come in for throwing a different fit. Sigh, sigh,sigh,sigh. I say he needs to sit in bed. (He is obviously tired) Oh my. I think most of you know what that means. The thing is Mom is outside mowing so there's no telling him to confess the over-usage of vocal cords. I literally drag him to his bed, waking up Mallory and Nathan on the way. (Nathan shares a room with him) I have to close the boy's door so Mallory won't hear as much. Jesse doesn't like that, but then neither does Nathan. They both scream. That's when I start feeling in a big FIX. Jesse ends up quieting down so I'll open the door. I did. I hugged Nathan for awhile. It's bad to have to do something he hates when it's not his fault I have to do it. Then I leave. Nathan cries. I go in about 61 seconds later and Jesse is asleep. Nathan still whines for 30 minutes and then Mom comes to get him up. Whew! Back to piano:P

Use a lot of Jesus 'cause you can't do this stuff on your own!

A Bleed!

Hello All!

Christian had to sleep upstairs last night because Mallory screams all the time. He talked Dad into letting Laney and Laura sleep up there too, so I had the room all to myself! WEIRD!!! I was just reading an Elsie Dinsmore book when I hear, "WAaAaAaA!" Hark! the sound of a 3-year-old in distress!lol! About 2 seconds later the door opens. "Meggy I got a BLEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"(An ouch that has the tiniest spot of red) Nathan follows close at Jesse's heels to catch the fun. He limped over very patheticly and stuck his foot up on my bed. Sure enough, he had a pretty good amount of blood on that foot, but not enough to leak on the floor. Whew! He had picked a scab. I put him at the sink and washed it off, him squalling and saying "OW!" all the time. I put a band-aid on it and RIGHT AWAY the belly-aching stopped, he jumped down, and ran into his room like nothing ever happened. Those Band-Aids have great powers. Amazin' ain't it?

Hey Everyone!!!

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. My Grandma's visiting and she took all of us kids shopping.(Not all at once of course-we split up into two days) I got to go both days to shop for clothes. We went Old Navy (Nothing good), Wal-Mart (Nothing good), and Kohls where I got some white capris and Grandma bought me the cutest skirt ever! Laney helped me pick it out. (Bekah, you are gonna LOVE it!)

Today I did some piano, finished ACTS, read Elsie Dinsmore, and worked on Laney's 500 piece STAR WARS puzzle.*Smile* The boys are watching ROBOTS.

Hello Everyone!!!

This Spring is really busy....and HOT!!! Christian and Joshua both have soccer practices and games that have consumed the evenings lately so that we don't always get to eat together. So now we sometimes go to Dad's work and picnic with him by a fountain outside (Joshua calls it "The Ocean"). We took Taco Bell and a soccer ball yesterday and ate, talked, got chased by fire ants, and all that jazz. Of course, no picnic is complete without a soccer game! Laura was playing an Laney's team.....barefoot! When we got home she was feeling a little sick and told us she had a rock in her foot. Sure enough, there was a little black, sharp thing in her toe! She wanted to take a nap because she wasn't feeling good, and Christian said that she had surely gotten deyedrated. Twenty minutes of soccer? Whew! That'll do that to ya! I was going to kinda stop it there, but Christian and Laura just walked up with the triumphant news that Christian had pulled the rock-which acually turned out to be a stick out with the tweezers! I think he likes pulling her teeth and splinters and such.

Blah, Blah, Blah

My friend came over the other day and watched A NEW HOPE with me. Mom had taken all of the other kids except sleeping Mallory to the park for Taco Bell and she dropped our soft tacos off before she left. We decided to eat them before we started the movie so could just talk and dilly-dally around. Had a nice talk, ate all our food, and went downstairs to start the show. We heard a knock on the door--- Mom was back! "You JUST finished LUNCH????" Even by this time the little yellow words were not done rolling up the screen. Whoops! Guess that's what happens to chatterboxes:)

But what was very strange was that we didn't talk the whole time during the movie! Now I said we didn't talk the whole time...Just about half the time. We watched all of the LORD of the RINGS' together and the STAR WARS prequels........talking the ENTIRE time! I suppose we didn't have anything to say since our ENTIRE lunch was spent "Jabber - Jawzzing" (Laura Beth)

Allergeeeeeez

Dad has had asthma and nose allergies since before I was born. Mom says he's always snoring and making noise at night because he can't breathe through his nose. Well, now Christian has allergies that affect the eyes. It looks like he has pink eye a lot in spring (when there is pollen everywhere). Dad can't mow and neither can Christian-even with a mask and goggles. SoOoOoOoO... Laney's working on that job. She's kinda the outdoor girl and is the only one of the Taggart girls that really knows how! Good ol' Lane. I thought Christian and Dad would be the only ones, but now Mom thinks JESSE has the eye allergy thing too!!!:0 His don't look like pink eye, but they're all puffy and look like he's been punched! He's only 3, really enthusiastic about life and.......LOUD. He's not letting this bog him down much, but I'm praying he won't have to fight it all his life. YIKES!

Hello Everyone!!!

My mom has a blog like this and I thought it was pretty neat! I'm so happy Dad gave me one! This is just a neat spot where I can type out what (if anything) is going on in my world.

Today was a regular school day now that Testing is over. Feels pretty good to get done with a full day's worth of school after you haven't done it in awhile, even if I don't like Math! Finished Piano too - Yea! I like to get the regular hour off my chest and then do more as I want to. Off to dust my jurisdictions!
