Never have I wanted to keep a child more.

This is me and my 'Niva. She's one of my AWANA kiddies. I can kind of call them all mine, since I've taught/helped in all their classes (cept Shawn, but I had him in VBS, so). But this one is WAAAAAAY mine! She is such a cutie cuddlebug! About Birdie's age and always ready to do what's next. One thing I love about her is that she's VERY observant--when someone drops a book, she runs from wherever she is to go pick it up. Once when the little guy spilled milk and I was cleaning it up she came from another table with some paper towels! She's the sweetest thing ever and I wish I could take her to live with me someday :)

Over half a year!

On December 13th, I will have been with my Honey for 8 months. Not sure how to describe those months...Amazing? Wonderful? Beautiful? Tough? Interesting? I think all of them. In honor of this most momentous occaision, I decided to post a list of some of the things I've learned over these past 8 months or so.

  • Having someone that does not mind when you sit and cry for no reason is something that everyone should have. I happen to have it in my guy :)

  • My way of thinking is the exact opposite of his way of thinking.

  • Sometimes it's best to just say "I'm sorry, I love you baby" even if it was not my fault and I have nothing to be sorry for.

  • Tea covers over a multitude of sins.

  • Snacks half an hour after dinner should not be viewed as uncommon.

  • When he's tired, he rubs his eyes and gets REALLY cranky just like a little baby :)

  • When he's snappy cuz he's tired, don't take it personally--he won't remember it in the morning.

  • Being called sweetie names isn't so gross after all.

  • All it takes it one little sentence of his to make me go, "Whoa. That's what you were trying to say LORD. I get it."

  • Don't touch the car door handle.

And that's just a tiny bit of the practical sort of things :)

Sitting in class at a huge Mac waiting for Mr. Sir to get here.

Yup, that's what's up. Digital Imaging class and then 2D Design later! My funnest classes, though they go really long. I've nothing really to say...school has been great, homework has been fun, my professors are all crazy. Yesterday I was emotionally out-of-wack and really tired so God said, "Aw, Meg it's not the end of the world. Know why? It's free ice cream day at school!" YAY!!!! And then I was happy. God really knows when to pull out that ice cream huh?

Um...oh, guess what happened last night? I was fooling around with my homework trying to make it all extra artsy looking and THAT apparently altered the space-time continuum and make all the clocks go suddenly to 11:00pm! So, that's what happened last night if you're wondering why it suddenly flicked from 9 to 11. Well, 3 minutes till class is supposed to start. I'd better post up and get ready to see Mr. Dr Seuss-tee-shirt-with-a-sports-coat-over-it-with-jeans-and-cons. That's what Mr. Sir likes to wear :)

First Day of School!

Like, in my whole life. Seeing as we never had a Summer break from school while I was homeschooling, this was my first first day of school...college level. UAFS baby. The day started off purty good--before I left the house that is. Once I got there I circled around a zillion different parking lots for literally 20 minutes (at least). I finally found something, so we can all praise the good LORD that I'm not STILL out there driving around with ear steam fogging up my windshield. But, I was already late. So I call my mom that I found a parking place and whine for a bit, getting madder by the second. By the time I called...

this handsome fella, I was screaming mad and had no clue where I was (since I had parked approximately 19 miles away from school). But luckily for this mess of a princess, the knight was nearby to find me and dash to the rescue, accompanied by his trusty sense of direction! I stopped by bawling and he showed me that I was in the same state as the college after all, then went riding off into the sunset (AKA math class).

All good right? Not quite. When I actually got into a building I realized....I was wearing my prescription sunglasses and had left my real glasses in my car back in Mississippi! Great. So I spent that class time either blind as a bat, or in a dark room when I had to read the slides up on the wall. Oh boy. The teacher from that class made us all take as much toilet paper as we would need for a three day camping trip and then tell something about ourselves for each square we pulled. I still have it cuz we didn't get to my turn, but I did learn someone very useful to stay away from based off the information they gave...yikes.

Then I get out and ok, I need my real glasses for serious. So, knight in shining armor comes dashing in once again to show me where I parked my car while I looked about and hoped I could remember in a couple hours.

Then off to drawing class. Purty fun! But there are no chairs, so it was kinda awkward. But I did meet two girls who shared my major and had some of the same classes as me. Both freshman. One I met and kinda hooked up with at student orientation and she's real sweet, and the other seems nice too.

Then I went and found my car (yes, for real), got nice and lost, then went home. I think it's just mandatory that I take a scenic, roundabout way and then go home, since I find a different route every time. Oh well.

I got some homework done when I got home, and got all ready for my first second day of school. Which is...tomorrow. Must go to bed! Byebye now!

My Favorite Day of the Week!

Ah, how I love Sunday! Saturdays are fun, but Sunday is just the best. The LORD likes it too :)
We start the day getting up and getting dressed for church. I like this because I actually enjoy the church clothes I own this summer. Lots of colors to mix and match. We load up the instruments and head to Fellowship Bible Church for worship practice. Everyone soon starts showing up and there is an always excellent service. We head home for lunch with our R boys and spend the rest of the day just hanging out. Maybe playing frisbee golf, maybe watching sports, maybe writing a book, just resting and relaxing and thinking. Then around 5ish, our R parents swing by and grab Lane and I to go to First Baptist Church for the evening service. Always a wonderful service, with a great message. Bro. Dale is such an amazing teacher. When that's done we all head over to Marketplace for our "Sunday night date" :) This is also the time when Mom and Dad are having their Sunday night date at home. This is always a great time, especially when the admirable employee Typo L comes to be our server! We yammer and eat and generally have a lovely time... how about some pics?

Me and my Honey

The Lane and Caesar side of the table

Pretty laugh

And now, ladies and gents, shower I must. We did the Legs and Back program on P90X with Ab Ripper X. PAIN AND SWEAT!

Looky here how sweet my man is!

This was my latest surprise <3 Check out the black ribbon all Phantom of the Opera style! :D
My vase always has a rose in it, he does such a good job keeping his woman all fly-around-in-the-air-ish :) I love that guy.

Check it Out!

Guess what?

This awesome guy (AKA my love) now has a blog! Not that he's posted on it or anything, but I was wanting something to do in bed... :P But he DID say he would use it :)

Not feeling great today...

So I decided to post on here :) Let's see...what have I been doing...

Had a fantastico time with my R family this weekend! We moved furniture from the farm, played with some fellow clowns, fun stuff such as that. On Sunday nights Efum and I have "date night" :) We go to church with the R parents, Caesar and Lane, then we usually go to Marketplace to eat. It's super fun, I can't imagine what fun an ACTUAL date would be without other people :) Not dating casually gives one a LOT more to look forward to in marriage. Anyway, this time we went to El Chico in the mall with Lukey in tow. The mall was closed by the time we got done and the security guard said we couldn't walk around. Can you imagine what kind of job it would be to just walk around an EMPTY mall when it was closed and MAYBE meet some kids who happened to be there that you could kick out? Terribly boring I'd say.

I've been drivin around by myself. Cool stuff. Makes me feel like a grown up or something :P

I made a pillowcase dress for the Bird! I felt sooooooooo like Mrs. Tracy or something! :D

I made a top for Lou out of the other pillowcase, but there's no picture :)

So there was an attempt at an actual post ;) What yall think?

New Look

What yall think? Maybe I'll get on here and post some more :D IF I get comments, I might be better persuaded ;) This new page option thing on blogger looks pretty cool. I may check into it.

For now, I leave you with a picture...

Me and my man. Sweeeeeeeeet huh? :)

Bye for now folks :) Comment ;)

"Yeah, we just thought we'd get together and graduate...it's just something we do"

The title is a quote from Beraseth (it's her name backwardish, those of you that know her say it out loud and work it out verbally who it is :P), isn't it lovely? BELIEVERS is having their biggest class of all time, and I'm proud to be graduating with this set of the most beautiful people God has made. Oh don't believe that they are? Well, check THIS out...

All us gals...Chyn, Kris, Manah Hahan, Beraseth, Britter, Emy and me

10! :D

And the guyz...Ethanator, Skeeter, Lukey, Cabe, Landypants, Teej, Micah, Mimi, 3ring, and Jake

All of us! Count us...17! :D

The epic jump :)

Me and my Emy

The tornado kick. Daddy and the Mighty Wordsmith had a little fun afterward with shots like these, and this one turned out just COOL.

So you see? Flat-out GOOD LOOKIN peoples huh? No, I'm sorry, I'm not giving out numbers for anyone. There are a zillion more pics of this shoot and I can't pick my favorites even! If anyone is interested in seeing pics of us as little childrens and taking pics of us in dorky hats looking great, come watch the ceremony! :D

Jumpin Jinglefeathers

Hello all :D

How's life? Figured I'd tell how mine was. In short, very happy :) In long, wellllllllllll ummmmmmm...

I'm getting ready to graduate! :D Yepyepyep! It will be fun to see what all God has for me after high school. I love being pretty much done with it, it makes for a nice, laid-back schedule. I can skip a day of school to go nannying or to play with my Wingys and not feel awful like I need to catch up with school, cuz it's pretty much already done! :) Nice.

We got new tile in the dining room. Looks nice. I'm just happy it's done, cuz my "negative energy" as Caesar Milan calls it, goes through the roof during home rennovation stuff :P

We had our Jr/Sr Formal! It was sooooooo fun, I got to dress up! Look at my fb for pics :)

We tried out TKD last Tuesday....REALLY FUN!!!!!! :D Next time I'll be more over the first-time fear factor and will be able to enjoy it even more :)

We went playing with the Wingys today...airsofted. WAY awesome. I love my gun. And my sibs. And my Wingys. And my Jesus. Just sayin.

All the greenery is emerging! We're getting the spring clothes out (yes, tis a wreck) and I dare to think that it will not snow again! :D I look fat in shorts, but oh well--I can wear skirts. But I love the warmer (emphasis on the ER) weather and when flowers start peeking out again. I love flowers. This weather makes me stand outside and laugh out loud for no reason--that's why the neighbors think we're crazy I'm sure. But I wish the wasps would stay out of my spring, and soon it will be HORRIBLE hot. But oh well, I'm having what fun I can :) God is so creative with Earth isn't He? It just makes me excited and happy.

And does anyone else besides me think it's cool that your saliva glands produce 6 cups of spit per day? I mean, who besides a Mighty Creator could think up a thing THAT cool? Tell me if you ever think of anything, cuz I sure can't :)

Writing Stuff

Welp, now I am a writing teacher! Sorta. I'm teaching a co-op class off the book REACH FOR THE STARS Writing Workshop by the fabulous Susan Marlow (and featuring me :D). I've got 6 fun-lovin boys and a few with some real talent from what I can see from the two weeks I've been doing this. Real fun. I think we're gonna talk about showing-not-telling this week. Always a fun lesson.

AND going down to my younger grade tutoring. The elementary class with the boys was fun today. They've been doing well with their adjectives, so we decided to put them to work today writing a story about a secret agent that sneaks into Wal-Mart and removes a bomb and saves all the people (while listening to intense music of course!). The got SOOOO into it. Each boy had a different storyline...

By Jdude...
"Shisoh was in Wal Mart. He was looking for the missing bomb. He went to the first isle. Guards were setting the bomb. It was set, and the guards went away. Shisoh ran to it. He grabbed it and went out of the store. But he blew up." Oh sadness...the poor distressed author started to cry in the middle of class over the death of his heroic character. He sure has the writer's brain. He'll be amazing one day...I've said so ever since he was less than a year old, arranging magnetic letters on the fridge into fun, Sci-Fi names.

By Jess...
"Casban snuk into the store and went to the isle. It was the way to the bomb. He ran to the door and smashed the door open and found the bomb. He ran to it. The time was almost gone. 20 seconds. He ran out of the building and threw the bomb. It blew up. When the bomb blew up he ran to the store and all the people was safe." Good description huh? And this babe is a genius with his sentence structure already! :D

By Mayf (with some interpretation and help)...
"A dog was named Charlie. He ran into Wal-Mart. The bomb was in the corner of the store. He grabbed it in his mouth and set it down somewhere far. Then he went in to check if all the people were ok. The end." He loves the name Charlie :)

Sweeeeet huh? :D I'm proud of all my writing boys. Oh wait I have a girl too! In the junior-high division. She just did me a literary analytical essay on THE LAST BATTLE by C.S. Lewis. I purple-penned it over just a minute ago. She really put some good thought into it! Course it needs a little structure work, but the content is really good, I'm impressed!

But oh, a tragedy. My purple pen is running out of juice! I'm a fun pen kind of chick, and I had one of those big huge, stick-o'-dynamite looking ones that I used for EVERYTHING. Twas a purple-blue ink which made it good for editing. I like black better when I write for my own purposes, but this one was good and VERY used. Then Lukey the Penbreaker took it apart when I wasn't looking and I'm sure this put my pen into a state of trauma, for a couple days later it quit working. For three days I scribbled through sheets of paper, watching for a splash of blue. I shook, licked, blew...but to no avail. And I haven't found another big one since. I decided to move on with my life and find another pen somehow. I dug through the junk drawer and tried pen after pen, but those kind you buy in bulk rarely work to my satisfaction. Then a friend (not knowing my plight) sent me a cute purple pen. It wrote pretty...not fast enough for rapid brainstorming, but perfect for editing people's work. I dubbed it my editing only pen, and called it....The Purple Pen. Then my Gram gave me a pen for Christmas that looks like a candy-cane. I checked the color and consistency on my hand right off the bat and the ink was black! And it flowed wonderfully without globbing or quitting! Perfect! The Candy Cane is my Thinking Pen. I use it for school and to brainstorm and to take to class. It tends to fascinate people. I also have this New Year's Resolution to use up all my blank notecards by sending them to folks, and a found a couple of black pens that look boring, but they are of different consistencies and they each work well on a certain kind of paper. The Black Twins are my letter writers. How did I get off on this boring story? Yall don't even care, just me! :P Why do I write these things...oh well. All that to say, THE PURPLE PEN IS GOING OUT!!!!!!!!! I need a new one. One with a color besides blue or red and thick ink. I suppose The Purple Pen deserves to rest in peace...I've edited a whole Ethanator novel, many childrenses school papers, chapters in creative writing class...much has the mark of the signature Purple Pen.
The search begins.

The Wonder and Glory of Airsoft

Hey my beloved folks!
Remember when Meggy used to fence in CO? Remember how much she loooooooved it and had such an awesome time doing it every week? Yes. And then it was gone, left in the blustery lands of Denver when Arkanesian southerness beckoned. Heartbreak, sadness, etc.

BUT guess what sprung up instead?
AIRSOFT!!!!!!!!!!
Yes indeed! What is airsoft, you may ask? Simply put, it is camoflauging yourself as much as possible, loading up tons of gear in the car, driving outside city limits (being late most of the time), meeting up with some friends, and shooting each other with plastic BB shooting guns. Oh yes--does life get any better? Airsofting is all the rage in AR. It is beginning to fill the void that fencing left! :D
This is the gun I got for my birthday...

Yes indeed. Beautimous. Actually it hasn't come in yet, but I'm borrowing the same model from the guy at BattleZone Tactical, the airsoft place in Fort Chaffee. Wooooot!

And guess what's even more awesome? Dad is starting up an airsoft ministry so YOU can come play too :D Check it out at http://www.holysoldierairsoft.weebly.com/!

Meet Bob

Hello everyone!
I should like to introduce the newest member of our family......

BOB!!!!!

Bob is awesome. We love Bob. He has been with us for about six months now.
"6 MONTHS!?!?!?!?!" You shriek. "Why didn't I get pictures as soon as he came along?"
Well, it's because Bob isn't technically our kid. In fact, he isn't technically a kid at all.

Bob is the Tagg imaginary friend.

Yep. That who he is! We like him a lot. He sleeps in the extra bed in the boys room and sits at the extra spot at the table. Though when it comes to work, he's not very good at it. He never makes his own bed, or cleans anything up, or helps put away groceries, or anything! Not to mention he leaves socks on the trampoline and makes a mess in our rooms and stuff. We get kinda mad at him, and wonder how he gets away with it.
Some of us are a little jealous.

BUT that said, Bob is pretty nice. He's a good listener. Not so much for talking, but that's OK.
Well, there you have it. Now you know Bob. He gives a shout-out to my -48754 faithful readers out there! :D He's a nice guy.

It's true.

Happy Birthday Bird!!!!!!

Can yall believe the Bird is gonna be 4???? That means not a baby anymore! It's funny, because it seems like she was just this....
And now she is a little more like this!

She's still kind of the same though...I remember very well when she was about...I guess 3 months old I was holding her and Dad was doing something goofy and she looked at me and rolled her eyes!!!! :P It was great. I should prolly mention some things about her, as it IS the babyhood graduation....

  • She responds amazingly to physical touch. It's her little love language. And if she's trying to sleep and you go hold her hand or snuggle she will be out within 5 minutes :)
  • She is a lot like me on her annoying side. She tells it like it is (or is not) and has little emotional spells. She's pretty possessive, but I think that will graduate to "protective" as she gets a little older :)
  • She's hard to buy for. She doesn't play with dollies like Lane and I used to. She likes to carry "That One" around and have baby doll things, but they just aren't ALL THAT like they were to us early Tagg girls.
  • She likes pretty much all food, but she only picks around at it for two days straight, then eats a crazy amount on the third day, repeat :)
  • She was determined to have "Kitty-Cat cupcakes" (the hello kitty ones at Sams) for her birthday.
  • She loves to have braids in her hair
  • She likes to talk. A lot.
  • She is really smart. I'm hoping she'll write one day!
  • She can look cute and sweet eve while she's throwing a fit
  • She likes painted toes and her makeup set :)

A moment of MEMEME

I feel very bad and depressed and sick.

0 things running through my head except that every little kid on the planet is against me. Which is weird, for me.

I walked around for 5 minutes this morning looking for my pajama pants, which I happened to be wearing at the time.

I'm bummed that we won't get to see my Bekah tomorrow cuz we're all sick.

My baby J has an ear infection and he's at the doctor and I'm 99.9% sure he'll come home with the swine flu.

I can't write a darn thing. My brain is dead. Nothing going through.

I don't want to do anything. Weird. Cuz (I think) there's always SOMETHING I want to do. But I'm pretty sure I do not want to do ANYTHING right now.

I will never read through the Bible in 90 days again. Ever.
I'm not even sure how my day could be made to be any better. Usually I know, and like a phone call or a note or some chocolate would do it. But I don't particularly want to talk to anyone and I have some chocolate and I don't want to eat it.

Back to the blogoshere? Maybe?

Oh yes indeed - for now. At the pressure of many friends I am posting. But I'm not appeasing them entirely - I'm not posting on HSB hahahahaha! The Meggy impossible streak strikes again!! Just to catch you all up with what's up with me... I post again.

First matter of interest - We are moving back to Arkanesia. I don't truly want to, as I'd tragically miss my most amazing church family that has really been a family, my dear friend Cherry and everyone in our hs group, fencing my heart out, and numerous other things. But there are some things I'm excited about moving back for too, so we shall stop talking about this. It is an unpleasant subject.

If you want to keep up with me, get Facebook. Don't say you don't have time if you are a blogger. You just type a status, give your friends' statuses (stati... statusss...?) a quick once over ON THE SAME PAGE and get off! And keeping in touch with people is soooooooo easy! It's an amazing thing even my mom is on!

Church potluck today was awesome! I love AHBC and will miss it like the dickens. Though things are coming together that make me feel better about leaving. I was playing keyboard for the services and dearsweetdarling Nikki stepped up and said she'd take over for me! Dad was leading Saturday night service and awesometalentedmusicallyinclined Clayton stepped up and took it over without a glitch! I had been teaching funnyhelpfulstinker Andrew drums and he got good enough to play for service and I was loving it. But then the drums were going. But just as Dad was going to give them up, a box of brand new drums for the worship team showed up and surprised everyone! I tell you what - GOD IS AWESOME!!!!!! Like my mom said - "if God wants drums in the service, He'll send them". I believed it - just didn't figure He'd send them before I left :) Speaking of wonderfulawesomesweet church family, here they are now!
Jen, Pam, and me
Me and Megan
Me, Uncle Melly, and a bottle of tea (I'm ducking backwards way low heehee!)

The 4th was fun! Had cuzins over for burgers and hot dogs, went to service and played for the last time :(, and then we all went to Shelley's for cake and fireworks! The real fireworks were delayed too late for us, but we still saw a lot of good ones :)

So there. This is my post. I hope everybody is quite happy with it, was it worth all the hype lol? Maybe I'll post again soon... maybe :P
