Which One, Which One?

This past Football Sunday, the TV was turned ON. Should I watch my one-and-only Peyton Manning (my best-loved, favorite, awesomest, football quarterback hero, I-do-not-doubt-his-heart-nor-the-reach-of-his-arm, Colts dude) at his typical best beating the Texans (No DUH!!!) in the 3rd quarter by such a long shot that poor stinky team has no chance whatsoever of catching up not to even CONSIDER winning?

Or should I watch my second-and-only Brett Favre (my previous favorite, best, and awesomest, until I discovered what those words really meant through a certain #18 in a blue shirt, but this graying, big-throwing, every-record-breaking, cheesehead, Green Bay, QB still retains a large peice of my heart for himself) at his absolute WORST losing to the Bears (EEEEEK!) in the third quarter in the worst conditions he said he's ever played in with cold and snow and huge winds with a PROVOKINGLY large chance of winning?

Oh decisions, decisions!!!!!!! Of course I had to watch my Manning until the game switched then I watched my Favre. I depressed myself with the wind pushing his right passes left and watching him cry. Then I left. They lost to the Bears. My Manning didn't even make it to the top 3 QBs this week! Romo did.

Jingle Bells! T.O. smells!

Romo threw a pick!

Demarcus Ware messed up his hair

and the Cowboys lost the game!

Jingle Bells! T.O. smells!

Romo took a sack!

Beat the Dolphins in the spring

and now they're 1-15!!!

~ written by Sticks and Meggy to make my cousin angry!:P

My poor teams! In honest retrospect, I know that the Patriots, the hated team known for lucky wins and evilish hathno, shall make it to the Big Bowl. But with who? Anybody but the Cowboys!!! Green Bay or Indy PLEASE!!!!

Square Dancing and Football: A Direct Result of MPD

VERSE OF THE DAY: Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. Colossians 1:10

Listening to Air1 and holding EzT. Just got back from a gym day. We square danced, yeah. It wasn't as humiliating as I expected actually. There was one part that was like Pride and Prejudice dancing. It would've been ten times more fun if I knew more people there. But as of today, I have changed the number of coloradigan girl's I am aquainted with from 1 to 2! Whoa!

Beautiful Love. I am in a state of saying the first random thing that pops into my head right now.
Game last night I didn't get to watch cuz we didn't get the channel. It was:

FAVRE, THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND

VS.
romo the small and insignificant pick-thrower.

Whoodayathink won? Them stinky cowboys. Why?.......... They hurt Favre!!!!!!!! In the arm!!!!!!! This graying quarterback holds all the records, he's played for somethinteen years, made the Hall of Fame, and they HURT him! Evil in the air!!! He fell on it I believe. Here he is after the injury sitting on the sidelines watching his team fall into the depths of defeat.
I sure hope this isn't season-ending. They could make it to the Big Bowl!

Played Battle for Middle Earth 2 with Dad till 12:30 last night. He won. Barely. I coulda had him if it weren't for those dead-guy armies!!!!! May play JA tonight. I'll see what he thinks. But this game won't count on our record because this is the first time and I'll lose. Whaddayatink Drallen?

What will people think if they hear that I'm a Jesus Freak?
What will people do if find that it's true?
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus Freak.
There ain't no disguising the truth.

There's somethin funny about that Bird...

VERSE OF THE DAY: Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.” Matthew 16:24
Here's some funny things about my roommate, Mallybird:
  • She says the funniest things
  • She's smart. She remembers where I put things and tells me so. She counts to about 8, then spits out random numbers
  • She's 2! That's a story all in itself!
  • She's the prettiest little fairy queen you'll ever see!
  • She always wants me to hold her hand while we're in bed. When I think she's asleep and I slowly pull away, she wakes right up and snatches my hand back.
  • She LOVES to read books! Even whatever I'm reading at the moment. "Honey Bird, you don't really want to listen to The Simarillion do you?:P)
  • Every morning she says, "Read Bible?" With a little chirp.
  • Every question ends with an extremely high chirp. ("Rea-EEEED?)
  • She loves the song, "I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart"! If you sing it, she'll throw in little high giggly "Wheeeere?"s. When she tries to sing the joyjoyjoy part, she spits everywhere. Heehee!
  • Her hair is really bunny rabbity and smooth. The bottom layer is curly and the top layer is straight!
  • She knows what is mine and what's hers. Yeah, iPod's Meggy's. We've been over that one a couple of times.
  • Her job in the kitchen is throwing away the dirty napkins. You have to lift her up, but she likes doing it.
  • She's Meggy's girl!
  • She likes pink
  • She picks out the band she likes in her hair every morning. She loves to help in the daily search for the "green comb". (how does that thing get lost every morning?)
  • Kisses make everything better
  • She doesn't let me call her barely anything besides "Mallory", "Bird", or "Angel". Anything else is greeted with the response: "It's MALLORY!"
  • Her dollies are: Dolly, Jane, Blue-baby, Emma, Sunflower, Timmy, and That-One. (yes she named it) I am the babies's slave. I'm told they want to get on the bed, then off the bed, then different clothes, then just Jane wants on the bed, etc. She does NOT do it herself!
  • Shoes are fun!
  • Potty chair is against the law
  • She falls out of bed quite a bit, but is too sleepy to cry much
  • She says EVERYTHING she wants to!
  • She doesn't get in trouble alot

Now she wants me to read the Baby Bop Counting Book and I said I would, so. She's great and cute!

Prologue of my what happens after LOTR book.

The first draft, keep in mind. It will be better eventually.

Eldarion, king of Gondor rode for his very life under a black sky. Men everywhere were seemingly in a trance, making their way slowly toward the dark castle of Minas Tirith. The king had tried to stop them, but they would not be detained or seemed to notice any of his warnings. But it was what was coming out of the city that worried him more. Orcs that were not tortured elves, but tortured men pursed him hotly and at breakneck speed.
Eldarion was afraid.
Thunder rolled almost constantly as he reached the little town of Osgiliath. More men were walking out, transfixed toward the city, all at the same pace. Their eyes did not move from the city nor did they speak, despite the pleading of their hysterical wives and children who had no power to stop them. Indeed, no one did.
Lightning struck.
The town was in confusion. The king rode in, looking about wildly. No one seemed to notice him through the wailing of the women and the screaming because of the approaching ocs.
Wind Blew.
A old woman opened her door and saw him. "Great King! Come inside! We will hide you!" Eldarion lept off his horse and it fled in fear. The king ran into the dwelling and the woman locked the door, and proceeded to close all the curtains. Her husband stood near, his sword drawn. Their son clung to his father, an eight year old lad with wide, jet-black eyes. "I put you all in danger! The orcs want me!"
"Say nothing of it, Your Highness. We are put in danger either way." The woman beckoned him to a secret door in the floorboards. Eldarion leaped in. He heard Orcs in the village. He heard grunts, smashing of glass, doors being splintered, and people screaming in terror.
They were being slain.
The King pushed the trapdoor open in anger and quickly climbed out. "My Lord!" The woman loudly whispered. "No! You will be killed!"
"It is my life they want! Not those of my people!" he ran to the door. The young boy poked his head fearfully out from under the bed only to unintentionally haunt Eldarion with his deep, frightened eyes. Before the king could turn the doorknob, he heard the boy cry, "Father? Father no!" and emerge from hiding to grab the old man's cloak. The man was walking toward the black city, eyes staring straight ahead. The woman tried also to hinder him, but orcs were upon the house. The woman pushed her son into the trapdoor while her husband walked out of the house. She ran to follow him. "No!" the King called, but it was too late. The orcs slew her. He gritted his teeth and prepared to charge into the pack of orcs, but he felt his foot being grasped. Two surprisingly strong hands jerked him into the hatch and locked the door.
Thunder rolled.

So there ya have it. What happens next.... not telling.

Life this Week

VERSE OF THE DAY: Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. John 16:33

Mace, Potato, Lane, Sticks, and I went to this youth thing called COLA WARS at our church. Man, it was rough!!!! We had a game called "Crack the 6-pack" where 6 people hooked arms sitting down and six other people tried to rip them apart. There was hair-pulling and somebody really came down on my wrist with their foot. Ow! There was one point where Sticks and Tate (who were the smallest ones there) were being dragged ten yards away from the others, about four feet off the ground by a few big guys. They were sticking together like a mouse and a sticky trap and the big guys didn't pull them apart! It was funny, but I thought they were gonna get dropped on their heads. Then there was a game where there were two tubes and each team had to fight for them and bring them back to their line. Killed my nail and bled a bit, but I didn't notice till the games were over. Bet I got blood on the shirt of the girl I was hanging on to in the horse game. Some people held on to each other's waist's in a line and the other team had to jump up on you to try to make you fall. I didn't fall, and I didn't really jump on the other team either, but Mace was over there getting some elbow in the head:P Then I think that's it for the fun games. We went inside and had some pizza then! Funfunfun! I think it would've been a lot Funfunfunner if I knew people there.
Yesterday Imo, Mangnay, Grandma, Aunt Mich, Chlo-chlo, Twinkletoes, Lane, Lucy, Mom and I went to a fundraiser tea at the oldest hotel in CO. It was a really pretty building!! There was a couple of Nutcracker dances and a magic show. We thought the tea was at 12pm but then we find it was at 2pm. So we had to wait a bit. But it was pretty fun!

All of us before the tea

So that's what's up. My computer won't turn on. Tis quite annoying to me! I'm on Dad's. Hi Dad! Can you fix my computer?

Brickbreaker Bonus

VERSE OF THE DAY: "What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?" Mark 8:36

Wrote this for CtB. My e-mail's being weird, so I'm stickin it up here!

Think BRICKBREAKER. It goes under many names: VORTEX, BREAK-THRU, etc. But it is all the same thing: BrickBreaker. Are you a brickbreaker junkie? There are two kinds: the Proud-to-Proclaim-it junkies and the I-would-deny-it-three-times-before-the-rooster-crowed junkies. About one in a million brickbreakers would admit to being such! For the sake of this article, I will reluctantly admit that I am able to enjoy a VORTEX game under the blankets on my iPod any night. This popular accessory game comes on about any phone, iPod, or computer around, and people always like games that don't require any directions! Simple. Move your little paddle thing on the bottom to bounce the ball back where all the bricks await. Break them all and move on to the next level. Yea! Even better though, are the little bonuses that fall from bricks you destroy. Catch them with your paddle and you can stretch it, get more lives, more balls, extra points, or even a fireball or some rockets! Wow! How much better can it get! But this has probably happened to all of us. You see a bonus coming down. What is it? What is it... it's a rocket bonus! You definitely NEED that! But it's still pretty close to the top and your ball bounces back towards you. You hit it back up and keep your eyes on that bonus. It's coming down on the right side. Haha! Yo get in position to catch it. But wait! Your ball! It's coming down on the left side! There's no stopping it for a minute. Brickbreaker encourages quick thinking. You think in a split second that you can wait for the bonus, then whip back insanely fast to catch your ball. Always a good plan despite the fact that it works about 1% of the time. You've got the bonus! But the ball was coming too fast. You try to get the paddle over there as planned, but it's too late. You lose the ball, and the most despised words in America show on your screen. GAME OVER. Shoot! Either you're thinking, "Well, next time I'll just let the bonus go" or "Man! Need to practice getting back there faster!"
Where am I going with this reminder of numerous bad experiences, you ask? This is a miniature example of Mark 8:36. "What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?" I talked about brickbreaker because I thought about this verse then and it's a fun topic:) But how about we go a little deeper? Think the band SWITCHFOOT. Jon Foreman, Tim Foreman, Chad Butler, you know the guys. The name Switchfoot is a surfing term. When you switch your feet, you are taking a new stance in the other direction, not like everybody else. They wanted their music to open new doors in Christian Rock. So they released some good early albums like THE LEGEND OF CHIN and LEARNING TO BREATHE. They played their music undauntedly in bars and witnessed in all kinds of places shouting Jesus loud. They were special. Later they got four of their songs included in the 2002 movie, A Walk to Remember. So they got more recognized and it led to the album BEAUTIFUL LETDOWN. Despite the fame and idolized people, they still made music for the Lord. Then came the Disney Channel. The YouTube popularity. The people loving them. It led to an albums that has been described as their darkest. It led to more albums that had less and less of God in them, and more and more of what the fans wanted. They went from singing for God, to singing for popularity, money, people, themselves, and who knows what else. They still say they have their good intentions, but the truth is that their focus is gone. They don't like being called a Christian band. As said in the book The Day of Small Beginnings, "if we conform to the patterns of this world - the stage shows, the roadies, the contracts, the promos, the secular studio musicians, - it's bound to have an affect on us. It's inevitable. You can't do business like the world system and not be slowly submerged into it - justified by the lyrics, condemned by the reality." They gained popularity, money, fans, and fame. The world. But they lost their soul. They can justify their actions all day long, but when they stand before Jesus are they going to be confident that they carried out his plan and had done exactly what he wanted with their band?
Now I'm not dissing Switchfoot. I've cried many tears for them. They're backsliding and don't know where they could be sliding. There ball is escaping, brickbreakerly speaking. Sometimes we should just skip the bonus and keep on bouncing our ball God's way and not lose the path. Don't let your game be over.

"I don't wanna gain the whole world, and lose my soul." ~ Tobymac

Veteran's Day

VERSE OF THE DAY: "Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends." Revelation 3:20
Do you pray for our troops? How often do you forget? Think about if it was you or one of your family members. Watch this video and tell all your friends to remember our soldiers.

VERSE OF THE DAY: We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. Romans 5:3

Figured I needed to post again. Sticks and his SWOOSH had a soccer game today and won 1 -0. Even with a really bad ref! On a really bad field! With a pretty good opponent! So now he's at RED ROBIN with the rest of them drinking the best strawberry lemonade in the whole world. Can I get an Uh-huh?

This is some pictures of what I did to the boys. They are REALLLLLLY cute! Savvy?

Notice Mayfee's famous eyebrow! Everybody loves it! He is so COCKY for a 3yo!

A long, loud, tremulous, drawn-out, Luke Skywalker, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

VERSE OF THE DAY: The LORD doesn't see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7

VS.

MANNING THE MAN & his COLTS! vs. Brady the small and insignificant & his patriots

Ok, ok, maybe not small and insignificant Pats. But can you believe they had the stuff to beat the invincible? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Oh, Manning, how could you have let them bat that ball away from you and so win the game??? WHY??? How do you plan to win the Superbowl now? Why did yall let me down like this? Sniff sniff.
Ok, here's the plan of action: The Pats play the Bills and Bills win (you hush! Stop saying "yeah right"!). Then we're even and the Colts can go win the big game! Sounds good. But we MAY still make it to the Big Bowl even if the Bills DON'T win! HeeHEE! That sounds good too! Oh, well. There may be another chance=( And the Pats have been putting some gut into this season. I suppose they are honorable foes. Not like... the BEARS or sumthin.

Job McCully

Please pay attention everyone! This little guy's lungs do not work on their own and the doctors have come to the end of what they can do. Job has had cancer and about everything else under the sun. He has been fighting battles since he was four and now he's about ten. He, his parents, and his sister are now waiting for God to do something amazing and keeping in this fight. Please pray for a miracle in Job's body. If you feel for him and his family, copy and paste this onto your own blog to really get prayers moving. They are powerful and God knows what's going on down here, even if we can't see a way out. Here is his website: http://www.caringbridge.org/ar/job/

Favre 4ever

VERSE OF THE DAY: …I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts. Isaiah 57:15
We've got all our new appliances hooked up!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yea!!!!!!!!!!! The stove and oven REALLY rock some boat!
Blogger only works on the laptop still:(
Couple days ago when Mace and Uncle Steve were here to help move in the piano, a half asleep Mayfee sticks his head up from the couch and proclaims/demands: "I want all my money in the bank!!!!!!!" Everybody looks at each other for a second, thinking about what this could possibly mean. Then the laughs start.

BEEYOUTIFULL game last night!!!!!!!!!! Brett Favre and his awesome Green Bay PACKERS buddies kicked some BRONCOS butt!!!!!!!!!!! Broncos tied the game up with a field goal with 0 seconds to spare and took it into overtime. Farve throws an 82 yard touchdown pass to win the game 19 to 13!!!!!!!!! Absolutely unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!! Joyjoyjoy!!!!!!!!!!! Favre 4ever!!!!!! So glad he didn't retire last season as word had it!!!!!!!!!!! No quarterback like him. But Peyton Manning's the same good except a different kind. Kinda glad Farve said he was gonna retire because I tore my affections away from him and grabbed hold of Manning. SOOOOOooooo when he DIDN'T retire I grabbed him back AND.... Now there are 2 best quarterbacks in the NFL!!!:D But on to more serious football:

I had a horrible nightmare. In it, the Colts and Manning faced the Patriots and Brady in the playoff game. The Colts lost. I cried and cried. NOW I find that real life scenario comes to life this SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! This dream CANNOT be a vision. But I am afraid. I will admit that I am afraid for the honor of my undefeated favorite. The only 2 undefeated teams in the season will become just 1 undefeated team. I can already feel flutterings in my stomach when I think about the Colts losing, so I know I will cry is it happens. It CANNOT happen! My Colts are going 16-0!!!!!!!!!! Right Guys?

A Post About Current Life

VERSE OF THE DAY: Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Matthew 6:20

"They knocked out all our communications..." But they're back!!!!!!! Internet and phone are BACK!!!!!! I'm so happy! (But I miss Air 1) I missed everybody!!! Now I shall try to give you an update on CO life:
  • Dillardfamily came to help us unload and Grandma and Grandpa T came to help out too. Lucy ate a grasshopper during this time period. Yuck! Got it all on film! Grandpa did some stuff like put in a vanity and fix the plumbing on the sink. Before they left...
  • My Mom's Grandad passed away and went to heaven:( Mom and Dad went to the funeral. While they were gone...
  • Captain Jack Sparrow the kitten died unexpectedly. We buried him by a creek near our backyard. Trixie's great though.
  • We got a new cool dishwasher, fridge, oven, and stove the other day!!!! Awesome!!!
  • Unpacking is going well. The place looks like a house, just a real messy one!!! Couldn't find all my clothes for awhile, which was quite inconvenient when we had....
  • SNOW!!!!!!!!!!! About an inch of it last week! But I didn't get to play around much cuz I was wearing my only and best pants, so Mom and I went to...
  • GOODWILL and SAVERS!!!!!!! Wonderfulwonderful thrift stores that I got some cute jeans at! SAVERS even had cool swords for halloween. They weren't strong enough for my taste though.
  • Speaking of swords, found my broken Prophetess and am fixing her to lay her away in retirement forever:(
  • Visited a new church called RED ROCKS BAPTIST CHURCH and it was pretty good!! Our next door neighbor's a pastor there.
  • We live on a two culdesack street that dead ends into a school playground. All ours!
  • My iPod is wonderful!:D

Well that's a skeleton version of what's up! Lemme find a good video to put on here...

In Colorado 4 Good!

VERSE OF THE DAY: We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. Romans 5:3
Well, until we go somewhere else. It feels strange that we're not going back. But we made the big drive yesterday and ended up at the cuzins house! They're all gone at school, but already it's been strange babysitting a 6' 1" football player! (kidding, most of the way:P) Potato taught me a cool trick that I think Comediantennis is really gonna like! Slept in Potato's room with the rest of the girls. This stay marks the inconveniencing of every direct family member! I think. So it'll be nice to get out of people's hair that we've been in for probably a month. It's weird not having a house! We may have it tomorrow though. The dogs in our families have been introduced and Cap'n Jack and Lil Trix are hidden in their cage. Joeyboy's been pretty nice to them!
In the car we listened to some Narnia tapes. And yes, Emy, you did say you wouldn't like em probably but you'd read them!
Found some free-to-the-public books online! The only ones that were not history or something was ELSIE DINSMORE which I have already read. But it's a good book and much better than nothing!!! *That library is all MINE!*:D
The boys are playing pool right now. Funfunfun!
BTW, yall will be very excited to know that Brett Favre is in the game and makin records!!! So much for that jabbery-gloop about him retiring last year. Football season is back and the Colts are going 16 -0!!!!!!!! Peyton's da man!!! He has the hearts of the people!!!
I miss you all Arkansas friends!!!!!

Leaving Farm Family - With Some NEW Family!

VERSE OF THE DAY: The true bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. John 6:33
Grandpa said I need to post more, and including the riotous comments on this thing maybe I do. :P Now at least I have something worth posting about!
We were about to leave and Lucy goes into the feed barn and comes out yelling, "Mama Cat has KITTENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Gasp!!!! Everybody runs over and sure enough, 5 little fuzzballs! But the gray and black Captain Jack Sparrow and the brownish grayish blackish little princess Trixie were favorites. Grandpa said we could keep them if Dad said and Dad agreed! YEA!!!!!!!! We said goodbye to Nana, Gram, Grandpa, Lady, Pinwheel, Rusty, the rest of the kitties, and the grasshoppers (yes, really. Jessboy has sentimental attachments:P) It was sad to say goodbye to all the farm except the bugs. We took the kittens in a raccoon trap, cageish thing to Grandma and Grandpa Tagg's house. This morning we fed them milk out of little medicine droppers. They can sit in one cupped hand, have big sweet blue eyes, meow little meows, and are very fuzzy! Jack is the troublesome, topsy-turvy one that likes to walk around outside, while Little Trix would rather snuggle up in a box and sleep. I'll post pictures as soon as we take some. We sleep here tonight and and tomorrow we take the drive to Colorado!!! Pray!

Big Surprise!!!!

VERSE OF THE DAY: The fears of the wicked will be fulfilled; the hopes of the godly will be granted. Proverbs 10:24
So everybody's sitting around, doing nothing worthy of remembrance, when Grandma T walks in the door!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHRIEEEEEEEEEEK!!!! They've been in Colorado with the Big Beautiful. Everybody goes outside where Grandpa T and GG are, when... *drum roll please* DAD COMES OUT FROM BEHIND THE CAR!!!! Much screaming and happy!!!:D He's working from here for a week and the plan is to go to CO at the end of the week! Huzzah! Maybe stay with some Dillardcuzins or something. From what I understand, the Masonator has been doing quite well in football. Should be fun to watch!!!! Dunno if Tatertot is playing or not. Soccer season is almost over in Colorado, can you believe it? It just turned fall! Dad says it's already cold there. Amazing!

More Lucy's Birthday & Pinwheel

Last night the party came over and Uncle Kenny came too! The back room was all decorated and Nana made brownies and lasagna. Yum! Lucy got... many, many things!:P Some craft things, some clothes, a purse, and lots of money is all I remember. She's excited about all her presents! She was planning to top off the day by watching THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL, but the electricity went out! "That's OK!" I says. "If it's not on later we can watch it on the portable DVD players." Well, that was the plan. But the movie was IN the unoperational DVD player, SO.... we watched RETURN OF THE JEDI and everybody was asleep before they got to Endor! Right after that the electricity came back on and we got everybody to their own beds. Lucy had a good day!
We have made a new friend - Pinwheel the Dog! A big black I don't know what kind, but he's a lot like Joey in the "I'm just gonna lay down and mind my own business and if Mayf wants to beat me up that's fine with me" attitude. He's called "Pinwheel" because when he wags his tail it goes round and round!
Here's a funny. I had the Iron Empress out and was fighting Sticks and all that jazz. When I was done I went up to the porch where the people were talking, and just carried the sword with me. Gram said, "Did you get a new sword?"
I said, "Well, relatively."
She said, "Oh, that's your sword? I thought it was one of the boys'! I was just teasing you!"
I laughed. "Sorry! I'm a sword junkie too!"
Question! What do you call a girl warrior?

Lucy's Birthday!

VERSE OF THE DAY: Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. Revelation 3:20
Lucy is 10!!! Cool huh? We had doughnuts for breakfast, QUIZNO'S subs for lunch, and we're going to have lasagna with Grandma H and and Grandad Gene & Vivion later. Funfunfun!
Grandpa rented us a big bounce-around for a week. The boys have been ALL OVER it!!!
Nana, Gram, and we three girls went shopping yesterday. Gram got us each an outfit! I got some brown pants and a blue light sweater thing that I love! Nana got me a pair of navy blue croc-ish shoes that have ribbon straps like mary janes! Hard to describe, but adorable! Maybe I'll get some pictures on here. We went to CHILI'S for lunch. Last stop was the dollar store where Nana got the boys these colored plastic swords that make noisy noise. Got a little annoying early in the morning...:P A fun fun time! I guess I need to change the video down there huh? I'll find something.

"Do you fear Death?"

Who is this? This is the legendary Davy Jones as depicted by Disney in DEAD MAN'S CHEST. I did some research for those of you who haven't seen the movie so you can know who this guy is supposed to be. Not the movie character, but what the sailor's term "Davy Jones's locker" is all about. What follows is what I have discovered:

"'Davy Jones’s Locker' is an idiom for the bottom of the sea — the resting place of drowned sailors. It is used as a euphemism for death at sea. Davy Jones is a nickname for what would be the devil of the seas... the fiend that presides over all the evil spirits of the deep."

So... devil not man. Spirit thing, as he would have to be to carve out his heart and put it in a box. There is a scene in DEAD MAN'S CHEST where five survivors of a shipwreck sit lined up before him. It is a very...eerie and spirit realmy scene. None of the captives look exactly what you call at ease, but there's one man shivering in his shoes and whimpering - quite afraid. Davy Jones kneels to his level and says in his slippery, scary, slow voice, "Do you fear death?" Through his violent shaking, the man nods. "Do you fear that dark abyss?" Jones continues. "All your deeds laid bare, all your sins punished?" The man shakes even harder and continues to nod. "I can offer you an escape." Jones says. The man stops shaking and looks up with a ray of hope. From farther down the line comes a voice that has evidently surprised the owner of the voice. "Don't listen to him!" the voice says. Davy Jones whips his head in that direction and the owner of the voice is a man who immediately looks down again. Dangling from his shaking fingers is a cross. Jones's takes two steps and grasps the neck of the one who had spoken with his crab claws . "Do you not fear death?" he says, in a tone that would make most people say anything he wanted them to. The christian man looks straight into Jones's eyes, still fearfully, and says, "I'll take my chances sir."
"To the depths with him" commands Davy Jones, and the man is hurled into the sea.
"Cruel Blackguard!" another man cries.
"Life is cruel." replies Jones harshly. "Why should the afterlife be any different?" His footsteps thud on the deck as he walks backs to the first man, saying, "I offer you a choice. Join my crew and postpone the judgement. One hundred years before the mast. Will ye serve?"
"I-I will serve."

If you don't know, this is just wrong. You cannot postpone your judgement. You know what you deserve. To put it bluntly, the fires of hell. But the afterlife doesn't have to be cruel. Jesus and only Jesus can offer an escape to all those who fear that dark abyss. What is it? Acts 16:31 states it clearly: "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." Saved from eternal death and torture! "Oh, no!" you say. "With all the things I'VE done wrong it doesn't work like that." Oh, yes it does! No matter how many things you've done. Jesus, fully God came down to earth as a man, took all the sins anyone could ever commit and died on the cross as a sacrifice for those sins so we all could have a chance to escape death and be with Him forever in heaven. But what happened then? He rose from the grave three days later to show us that He was God and not just some guy that died! "Wait, so that's all I have to do? Believe?" YES! It's as easy as accepting the gift! Sure beats one hundred years of hard labor before the mast, huh? God offers you a choice. Do you choose life or death?

WE HAVE A HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!

VERSE OF THE DAY: For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth. John 4:24
Yup! Dad found one!!! Praise to the King! It needs a lot of work, but it's OURS!!! I don't know much about it, but I know it has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a shed in the backyard which is big enough for the fort, no cabinets or kitchen appliances, no sinks, and no doors. That means we get to get whatever appliances we want! Dad loves the neighborhood and only the people that live there use it. Nobody passes through to get to other streets or anything. Closing time is October 11 I believe
Today I am reminded to tell you of boys. J-dude, Chess, and Mayfee are LOVING farm life!!! Listed are some boy fun stuff.
1 - Before we got here they all started out quite a bit wimpy about blood or bruises. Now instead of whining, J-dude's reaction is "Ow! Ow!" about standing in a pile of fire ants. Lane started helping him brush off. He said, "They just keep coming on me!" Lane said, "How bout getting off the anthill?" LOL His feet are swelling now. Jess and Mayf will still whine, but sometimes they forget to.
2 - They aren't scared of bugs in the slightest anymore. It's great fun to catch grasshoppers, pull their legs off, and throw them in the potty or a spiderweb where the inhabitant is bigger than they are. The descendants of Darth Tarantula are Sticks's job. They don't live around here much anymore.
3 - Animals are more intriguing than ever. Everybody likes to pet the horse, raise eyebrows at the scary goat, sneak up on the scardycats, and laugh at the cows! Oh, and feed and catch the fish. They like it when Sticks takes them down to the lake. Wasn't so fun when J-dude hooked Jess in the head. He didn't forget to wail. J-dude and Mayf did too. Givemabreak! Being hooked's never happened before! Who's to say it's not life-threatening!:P
4 - Big huge driveways are FUN! Plenty of room to kick the ball and ride bikes! Mayfee's gonna get a hole in his right shoe, as he hasn't discovered the brake on the back of the scooter yet. But he's fast and graceful on that thing for a three-year-old! Lane was chewing Sticks out for not sending J-dude inside after the ant attack. "Why'd you let him play SOCCER of all things?" she says. Sticks sticks out his bottom lip and shrugs. "He still kicked the ball good."
I... think that's it!
I figured out how to get photos onto my iPod. Problem is, I don't have any. So for now I've just got some LOTR stuff on there!:P
And to use an elvish, Luke&Lana farewell, Namarie!

What's new

Froggy is now a chicken!!! He has chicken pox. Less than 10 though, he's still the usually smiley slobbery one! (SO Kee-yute!)
Lane is gone to Grandma H's to crochet and all the boys are gone fishing. There are two ponds here that are packed with catfish!
Shelob the Spider is outside this very window. I shall have to point out to the little guys that she hasn't had a grasshopper lately. But nobody should get too close, because grasshoppers don't taste very nice, precious. She hungers for sweeter meats. Anyhow...
Sticks the mouse catcher, with a grand total of.... more than 41 kills got another on a stickytrap last night. Grandpa came and took it, but he let the boys PET IT first!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEWWWWWW!!!!!!! Can I get an amen?
Emy - Working up an add-on to the plan of action.
Nan - I want to call you later today to... well.
Lady - Stinks that you cain't e-mail me:( Good luck in confuzin chemistry:P
Cole - You need to post!
Britter - What's up?
Lady Lana - I shall resend my CtB thing to your mom. But I shall need your e-mail addy because I don't remember it.

Today I read about Hezekiah preparing for battle. They stopped up all the streams and rebuilt parts of the walls. Also built some things which I interpreted as bombard towers:P I just didn't remember that part last time and I like that kind of thing!
Must go! My water's probably boiling.

Texas Coolness

VERSE OF THE DAY: Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity…?... I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Romans 8:35

MOVIE OF THE DAY: PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN
Last night we had a fire and roasted hot dogs and made smores!!! Yumyumyum! It was wonderful fun except Bird DID have a fall into cow poo. Yeah. And Grandpa did something to my laptop and the previous technical difficulties have been overcome! Internet is back on!!!

We went to a cowboy church this morning. It was pretty good!!

MY IPOD CLASSIC IS OPERATIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!! It works! I am overjoyed! I still can't figure out how to put movies that you already have on it. Anybody?

Lucy and J-dude are playing BATTLESHIP right now. The latter doesn't really know how to play. Lucy says "F - 5?" J-dude says, "Umm...no. But so close!":P

Here's a song I am reminded of while listening to it on my savvy Ipod. It's gotta be one of my favorites ever!
Lifehouse - Everything

Find Me Here
Speak To Me
I want to feel you
I need to hear you
You are the light
That's leading me
To the place
where I find peace again.
You are the strength,
that keeps me walking.
You are the hope,
that keeps me trusting.
You are the light to my soul.
You are my purpose...you're everything.
How can I stand here with you
and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me how could it be
any better than this?
You calm the storms,
and you give me rest.
You hold me in your hands,
you won't let me fall.
You steal my heart,
and you take my breath away.
Would you take me in?
Take me deeper now?
How can I stand here with you
and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me how could it be
any better than this?
And how can I stand here with you
and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me how could it be
any better than this?
Cause you're all I want,
You're all I need
You're everything,
everything
You're all I want
you're all I need
You're everything,
everything.
(Repeat)
And How can I stand here with you
and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me how could it be
any better than this?
How can I stand here with you
and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me how could it be
any better than this?
That there is my love song to Jesus. I listen to it over and over! I love you God!

Okiday!

We are at Grandpa and Nana's! Actually I'm on Grandma's computer right now as I am having laptop technical difficulties. I think there's a couple of more things I can try to fix my internet connection, but I'm not gonna be on as much as usual. Soon! When we get a permanent place! Dad put an offer on another one. Comment me with what's up like e-mail because blog is more convenient under these circumstances. I should get some letters out pretty soon.

My Ipod came in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!! It's silver and so cool and it even says MEGGY T on the back! Don't have any music on it yet. We had dinner with Grandpa, Nana, Gram, and some of Gram's cool friends that are visiting. Sloppy Joes and apple pie is yum!

Watched the first Pirates of the Caribbean with Lane, Sticks, Lucy, and a little bit Mom last night. Funnyfunnyfunny!

There are these garden spiders at Grandpa's that are HUGE!!!!! The boys keep grabbing these big huge grasshoppers and throwing them into the webs so the Shelob's can eat them. Spiders eat good when J-dude, Jessjess, and Mayfeeboy are around!;)

Car Break-in

VERSE OF THE DAY: Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor. James 4:10
The UHAUL people have been giving Dad a hard time. They said they would hold the truck, then they said they wouldn't do that when he got there and he would have to unload the whole thing. Nu-uh. And last night somebody smashed the back window on his new car and stole FOUR of his work's laptops. Yikes! We hope insurance will cover that business.
I'm going to Grandpa & Nana's today. Shall update later.

Homeless Wanderings

So now we are homeless people!!! Whoa! So where should I start... moving out, yes.

Wingfamily came over to help us load the trucks. We had an ABF truck at first and loaded it up... and found that we still had over half the house to go. So Dad rented a UHAUL truck that he could drive. With much shoving, hauling, lifting, getting squished, breaking necks, and maybe a little dirty language (kidding!:P) we loaded everything in the whole house up. Whew! We also saw the Lady family a couple of times during that period, as my car is now hers and I'm getting an Ipod instead. Not that bad of a deal! We also had some yummy lunch with them. We were happy we got to see Winguys like... 4 days in a row. On our last night there, Mr. Wingdad and my dad gave the OK for one last Me verses JA Age of Empires II game. (Drallen, if I get any of this wrong comment a correction. But please keep the insults subtle) Well, I had said something he considered insulting in an e-mail so he said this game would be "one-sided and short". Sure I says. But I'd never beat him at that game and didn't think I'm was gonna start now. One thing he likes to do is send little amounts of guys to annoy me and make me mad before I'm ready. So I said we'd have none of that and he said he'd give me 10 minutes for preparation.
"20."
"No."
"20!"
"No!"
We must have kept that up for... I dunno, ten minutes until I literally had to get down on my knees and beg for him to make this fair, receiving all the time I needed and teasing all through dinner from that Comediantennis. Generals don't beg huh? Well the hero computer-whiz Dad got the connection going and I set up a triple-thick wall for defense. I get a few guys going and reluctantly give him the OK to attack. Well, he fights, I fight. He breaks down the wall, I rebuild it. But I keep my farms going while he sells all his villagers. So he ran out of resources and the Undeafeated General says, "I SURRENDER!" in front of all his family, mine, and our neighbors who had dropped by to say goodbye. Everyone gasps. "WHAT????????" I says. The One and Only Jerry Allen saying THAT is about as likely as Theoden saying "Well, gee whiz, we cannot defeat the armies of Mordor so let's go home and drink!" I was about flippin out when the YOU ARE VICTORIOUS words came across on my screen! Jerrjerrod, thanks for actually SAYING "I Surrender" out loud so I could hear it instead of just doing it! Then we said goodbyes:(
So the next morning Grandma Tagg and all of us set out for her house. Before I go any further, I must say that Grandma Tagg is the real-life Samwise Gamgee except that rain clouds don't dampen her spirits! She'll just drive down whenever to help when we have a new baby, or when somebody has chicken pox, or loses a job she's right in the thick of it following around helping out and buying all the boys snacks! So we set out and Dad took the UHAUL truck to Colorado... or so we thought. Turns out he was stuck in the middle of Kansas with a broken down truck. He was waiting for those UHAUL people to call him back about it. I was flippin mad at UHAUL and bad trucks. And I'm thinking Kansas should be renamed No Man's Land. You can be a farmer, a farmer, or a farmer. Anyway, he got to a fixing place and slept in a hotel and NOW he's on the road... we think:P
Dad has these AWESOME headphones that block out all other sounds till you can't hear yourself speak. They have a surroundy sound. I turned the TWO TOWERS all the way up in the car. It was amazing!!! But I think that was too much sound for a little 6-inch screen...:P Last night we got here and ate pizza. I gave the little kids a bath and Jessjess made up an all new version of "10 Little Monkeys Jumping On the Bed" using "10 Little Piggies Hiding in the Tub". We going to see my great-grandma from Florida and I'd better get off and ice Louie's surprise birthday party cake. Chocolate Rocks!

Serenade to Friends

VERSE OF THE DAY: And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. Psalm 39:7 (I don't pick these. How come the verse of the day always fits the day? Anyone?)
I shall give you the post on where-on-earth-I-am and what-on-earth-I'm-doing later. I figured this needed it's own post.

Yes, I am truly out of Arkansas. Meggy is gone. Gonegonegone. It's been amazingly hard to get through my head.

Some things really drove it through pretty good though. (Lets see if I can get through this without bursting into tears) Lemme tell you readers, you have no idea what your friends are until you leave them. That is, you are not thankful enough for them while you're with them. You all know that Tobymac song: "They say ya never know whatcha got till it's GONE". Sure, I know, you say. But you don't until it's gone.

Emy came over and said.... no.."until we meet again" first. She left and I went to my room saying "Not all tears are an evil" and "There is a time to weep and it's RIGHT NOW!" Girl, you are the best client I ever had and I'll try to call you soon!

I didn't get to say a goodbye to Nan, which makes me VERY sad. Nan, please please PUL-LEEZE stay in touch with me because you are amazing and as soon as God said, "Here, try this as a great friend!" I had to leave.

God also went through no doubt a lot of trouble to dig up some of the greatest adopted cousins in the world from the no-man's-land where they live to Tagg End. The Winguys are all totally awesome and we will all miss them HUGE. And yes, I'll admit you Wingypeople, I bawled like a baby that night.

I didn't get to see Britterbear either:( Hopefully Bekah remembered to give you that hug for me girly. We haven't talked since... I quit piano I guess huh? I'll e-mail you when I get the chance so we can tell each other what in Jupiter is going on!!! *Sniff sniff* Brother either. Post on your xanga what's going down!

I'm thinking about all the people I didn't get to say bye to as we're driving away and Cole's in the list. We have to drop something by Lady's family today and....SHE'S THERE! So I got to give hugs and I was happy I got to. Lots of letters my Cole! Lots of letters! You are a funny, crazy, girlfriend and you better come up with the Lady family in the Spring!!! Luv you bunches!!!

Don't forget the one and only Lady! Yes, I hugged her with Cole:( I know I'm gonna see her again because she's coming to see me in the Spring!!! We'll have to phone and e-mail and she says she will. Lady, you are an amazing individual and I am so happy you really are going to come visit!!! I love you crazy!

Sunshine Princess I didn't really get to say goodbye to:( E-mailing and internet are wonderful things! They're how our relationship was made up anyway mostly. I'm sad I'm gonna miss the whole deal between Lady Lana the Adorable and Sir Luke the Impossible. Maybe I can come down for the wedding! But if not send me a video! And Sir Luke, keep posting on your blog! It is very encouraging to me and many others and you are no doubt blessed by the Lord for it. (You made an excellent conquest to prove it! Heehee!:P)

I am going to miss all of my good friends in AR, but I hope yall won't be jealous if I make a couple of new ones. Not as replacements - just as a few more. I love all of yall and I want to keep up through internet and e-mail and letters and phone and all those wonderful things we have now. The Lord gives and he takes away. But I don't want yall to be "taken away". I want to keep up and be as good friends as ever! We're here for a reason and I don't know what exactly it is yet, but I'll let you know! I love you all!

In Texas

VERSE OF THE DAY: "For I know the plans I have for you." declares the LORD. "Plans to prosper you, and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
Unexpectedly, yesterday I went to TX in the Big Beautiful with Mayfee, Bird, Gma, and Gpa. It was a nice ride!:D Watched THE ROOKIE. Not bad! Today we went shopping at the base and there were those... model-looking planes on the ground. Mayfeeboy went crazy delighted! We stopped to look at them and he called Jess up later to tell him about them. Last night we all slept in the same room. I found that wasn't such a hot idea because Bird and Mayfee like to talk and sing to each other and wake up in the night. So now she's having a nap in the OTHER guestroom!:P She's been pretty good! Mayf's not bad either most of the time:P I should be back in a couple of days. Or three days. Ya know, something to that extent. Ummm... nothing else going on!
If any Winguys are reading this, ERAGON'S sword's name is ZAR'ROC. I heard about the whole e-mail misunderstanding. Funny, I knew at least ONE of yall four intelligent guys knew what ARAGORN'S sword's name was! Though really Comediantennis, I dunno if you should name your sword that! Read both the books. Who wants to paint an awesome sword red, anyway?

DAD'S HOME!!!

VERSE OF THE DAY: Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Philippians 3:8

He drove to Gma and Gpa Tagg's place day before yesterday and they all came to us yesterday!!!! HOORAY!!!!!!! The thing is, now our neighbors across the street cannot see our house. Why? THE OCEAN LINER! Also known as the BIG BEAUTIFUL. Or the ULTIMATE TRANSPORT. Grandma and Grandpa got a GINORMOUS fancyfancy motor home!!!! It has 4 HDTVs and neat DVD players, an XBOX, a shower, an oven, a washer/dryer, a big refrigerator, a bedroom, and when you go on the outside of it there's a pop-out grill and sink!!!!! Also another TV and a stereo. So of course Dad was suffering on the way here!!!:P Lucy, Jess, Sticks, J-dude, and I slept in it and watched RETURN OF THE JEDI last night. Dad took a picture of Gma and Gpa with it, but I dunno where it is up here. All the neighbors came over for tours. Mom said we should start charging admission!!:P Dad and Gpa are took the fort apart yesterday to take with us.
Well I was gonna try out this new video blog feature, but it's been about 12 hours and it still didn't process or let me publish the post so....forget that I guess!

Palmer

Please pray for our friend Palmer Richardson as she is going through the battle against cancer again. Here is her site: www.palmerrichardson.com. I'll have the link down there with the other kids' too.
