Christmas!!!!!

Decided to post a Christmas post with a shout out to my non-facebooking buddies Toria and Leesie :) They never get any cool pictures because I am a jolly rotten emailer and I never post on here. This post may be a little boring to the 239,245,8
57 rest of you who've all seen these pics on fb, but I don't care about y'all. Ok, I do. All right here come the pics, forgive the quality, they're all from my phone........

Egg nog night with fam, egg nog, chex mix and Kung Fu Panda 2! And a cuddly picture.

Did a little SAVERS Christmas shopping. There's No L. Yeah, No L? Noel?
Ha!
haha.
heh.

We found a hugeginormous chocolate santa.

Our Christmas tree!
And the gingerbread house contest!

Bird's house won the "Most Like a Bloody Massacre" award. Or "Best Pile of Lava". Take your pick.
Lou's won overall! The frosting snowman did it.

Zekers won "Best Little Gumdrop Hangy-down Thingy" or something. He was pretty stoked about it though.
Mayf's won "Most Robotic". Don't you agree?

Mine won "Most Delicious Looking", but I think all that red icing just looks nasty.

Floofy hair

And a first attempt at candy cane nails.

The chillens did a wonderful singing job at the Immanuel Christmas play, so let's see if I can get this vid to upload. Maybe. We'll see what happens.

And now the actual Christmas :) Didn't get many pics of the day, but here's an idea...

Pink laptop keys cover thingy! Fun present! Looks so awesome! Problem is the silicone gets stuck up under my spacebar and I can't hit it. So I just took it off. Still figuring out what to do there...any ideas?

Formal blowdarting with Caesar. Made him this tee with what once was a black fabric sharpie from Nana. Now it writes about as well as the wrong end of a candle. But the shirt turned out better than I thought.

Looking at all the stuff!!

LOOK at this stocking!!!!!! It's from my Efum, made by Lou. Apparently they schemed and schemed about how to make it for a long time and I LOVE IT!!!!! It completely made the day.

Me and Hun on Christmas night.

A couple of Christmas Quotes:
Dad (reading a Christmas picture book): "And the cows and sheep in the stable also bowed their heads with the wise men--wait, REALLY? That's not Biblical! What are we reading????"

Bird: "Zekey, let me teach you the secret handshake!"
Zekey: "Not right now. I'm busy working on the secret elbow strike."

And here's a story of what happened to me today, the day after Christmas. I woke up and it hit me like a lightning bolt that I had not heard one of my favorite Christmas songs come on the radio AT ALL this season. HEARTBREAK!!! I communicated my woe to some family members, who all said, "YouTube it, you can still listen to it, it's not too late", but it sorta WAS. Having special Christmas songs come on the radio of their own accord for the Holidays is one of the many irreplaceable sensations of the Season. So I sucked it up and went about life until tonight at 9:24, when almost home from a movie time at Honey's, lo, IT CAME ON AIR 1!!!!! Made my day!!!! By the way isn't that such a great word, "lo"? I think we should bring it back into this day and age. Like "I tried to X out of iTunes but lo, it took like 7 minutes". So doable. Anyway in the end, I even got to listen to my song. It's the little things that let you know God has your best interest at heart. This is the stuff that makes my heart just that little bit thankfuller. Oh, you want to listen to it too you say? Here ya go. Having someone else Youtube it for you is almost like it coming on of it's own accord...

Corny? I guess yes. Do I care. Nope.

Well, this is the end of my Christmas picture post. Hope you now feel oh so updated. Now I am off to read the Word of the Birthday Savior, then maybe one of the gems that came out of that stocking, then fall asleep looking forward to Valentine's day! :D

Concert!!!!

Last night I went with Pam, Jen, and Rommel to the Bread of Stone/VOTA/Decemberadio/newsboys concert!!! We took our seats in the balcony and got ready for da show! Bread of Stone was up first, and they were pretty great! My reputation will be ruined if you listen to their stuff on iTunes, but they were TONS better live!!!!!! They were one of the loudest bands with lotsa guitar and hot drumming! So when they get a LIVE cd, buy that one:) But check them out and see what you think!

THEN.... VOTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were amazing!!!! They sang Alright, Hard to Believe, Honestly, and Free to Fail - basically all the songs I had hoped they would sing!!! I was so excited!!! You can download a special album of theirs for free at http://www.peoplescitymission.com/ As Rommel pointed out, we could've gone home right then and I would've been satisfied, but Decemberadio was up next!!! They sang a couple new songs, Everlasting God (pleasant surprise) and even some hymns! They set the focus for some great worship time coming up after the intermission when... MICHAEL TAIT comes up as the new lead singer for newsboys!!! I knew he would be doing this, but I wasn't expecting it so soon! The crowd went nuts (like newsboys was the main attraction of the night or something:P) and the newsboys were magnificent!!!!!!!!!!! Michael Tait did a great job, and since he's Michael Tait, they sang Colored People and In the Light!!!! Since I still call DC Talk one of my favorite bands, I was insanely happy. As the Newsboys they sang their good ones like I am Free, Breakfast, Something Beautiful, Shine, and the like. They did some worship time with Blessed Be the Name and I think Amazing Grace and some other great ones that made everyone praise God. It was really amazing - worshiping God with a zillion other people I didn't even know!
After the show was over we rushed down to try to get to VOTA first. Failed miserably, but I worked my way through the free download crowd to say hey and get them to sign the little poster I made. I had earlier made an "I heart VOTA" shirt that I was wearing and they said, "No way!" "You made yourself a shirt?" "It's our first fan!":P They signed my poster and made some video of me with their phone! Then when we found our camera holder we went back and they signed my shirt and we got a picture!!! I'm still in estcasy:) Actually the lead singer didn't just SIGNATURE the shirt, he actually wrote his nickname (Bry) with a little smiley face, as I discovered later:D

Didn't take long to get a picture with Decemberadio either:D They were real nice and complimented my little homemade poster while signing:)

It was a superfun night! Thank you to Pam and Jen and Rommel for taking me and thank you to God for inventing concerts, since they are the awesomest things in the world!!!:D

Me with VOTA (Supercool!!!!!!!!)

Me with Decemberadio (Cool!!!)

The Arkansas boyz

By popular demand (and Lana is the very essence OF popular demand)... a post on the subject of Wingycuzin visit!!! I'd been planning to post, but there was so much to post about that it seemed a bit daunting. So, here you shall hear of the Wingys. A good time to post about them, as I just got off the webcam with them about 10 minutes ago. And throughout the year you will probably hear about Christmas. Ya never know!

Well, the Wingycuzins FINALLY drove up to our house, which happened to be quite devoid of snow or ice, making it difficult to sled. (If Justin were here I'm sure he would note that it was NOT impossible - that just wasn't ground we were keen on exploring at the time:P) They brought along their Wii, and we played a bunch of Mario Kart! They had even created a Wii guy that looked like each of us that we could play as - I was not bad, but Simon Cowell was better:P

What else did they bring? AIR SOFT GUNS!!!!!!!!!!!! You've heard the quote from our dear Dr. Suess: "Day, play! We play all day - Night, fight! We fight all night!" Well here it was just the opposite - we fought all day with air soft guns... and I'll tell you what the nightlife was like in a moment:) But we played around the school, which was fun until the police kicked us to the forest. That was fun too. I'd post a picture... but maybe I will later. Got challenged to a duel by the General Drallen - so I picked the weapons. I got Dad's heavy machine gun and he got a pistol!!!!!! Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! Dad counted out (roughly) 20 paces, then I whirled around and let her loose. Pegged him who knows how many times, but he was determined to shoot me even if I shot him through the brain. But he didn't. But he restored a certain amount of dignity during...

The NIGHTLIFE!!!!!!!!!! We play all night!!!!!!!! RED ALERT II was IN! We switched up the teams between Dad, Mr. Wingy, Drallen, Sticks, Com-10, Jakeo, and me. Won some, got beat some, but Drallen beat me on our game (singular) of Rise of the Witch King. I was tired... what time do you say it was Drallen?

And then they LEFT. They're still gone. Right now. Depressing. Seems like they should always stay. Well, they're all still fit as ever - Drallen's still singing "Bare Necessities", and I swear Com-10's grown a foot. His voice change was a little creepy to get used to for the first 10 minutes, but we're all ok now:P Jakeo and I had a good time tying people's shoes together, playing drunk outside of DICK'S SPORTING GOODS, keeping up with each other at the zoo, and slinking. And that Jax will be taller than me, like, NEXT YEAR, it's REALLLLLLLLY scary! But he was a good boy - he and Jakeo said "What is thy bidding my master" EVERY TIME I told them to:D

Even though I hate it like anything when they go, it's fun having them here! We all miss em a lot, but we just webcamed and that was about the funnest thing! Can't wait till next time they come... the weather will be nicer then for serious air soft fights!!!!!

Since I don't have a pic of them to post, I will post a random one...

Very nice. It looks like me and Com-10 when we decide to stare each other down for no reason, then walk away mumbling! Heehee! Let's play online sometime you guys! Love ya!

When Taggs and Soccer Studs come together... this is how it's done.

First, background for those who have never been to an MLS game (that's soccer:0). When the players walk onto the field, they are holding the hands of these cute little kids that are wearing the home team's jersey. Ok?

So a couple weeks ago I hear that J-dude and Jess are invited to lead the Colorado Rapids onto the field in the playoff-spot-deciding game against Real Salt Lake. I was pretty excited, but J-dude was exciteder. When he first heard, he squeezed me real tight while SCREAMING quite loud, then plunked down on my lap and told me to find some cool Rapids videos to watch. The time finally comes... and excitement is in the air.

We show up early at the stadium where we meet up with the boys' extremely hyped teams. (BTW, their seasons just ended quite successfully) So we wait for a long time, then the boys are whisked away with my photographer dad who gets to be on the field and take pictures. Sticks and I get our free soccer balls (COOOOOL) and go to our special seats - in the bleachers behind the goal. But that's not cool until I say that the locker rooms for the teams are right off that part of the stadium and you get to stand there and high-five all the players as they come on and off. REALLY cool that we were early and KYLE BECKERMAN had nobody to high-five except us. And yes I did say KYLE BECKERMAN. But I'll say it again: KYLE BECKERMAN!!!!!!!! Dreadlocks himself!!!!! And yes he high-fived us cuz we screamed that he rocked as he walked by. The rest of Real Salt Lake pretty much high-fived us too, and that was awesome. Chris Wingert comes out and I whoop and hold out my hand, but he was already walking on the other side of the hall, so he just smiled and gave me a little wave. But I pouted and said, "Aw come on!" And... I suppose since I was so cute(:P) and all by my onesie he walked all the over to where I was to give me some skin. How sweeeeeet:P

But now warm-ups were over and I knew my boys would be coming out with them soccer players. Here's what they had been doing in the locker room, courtesy of my dad:

The cutest nutcases you'll ever see!!!

Yup, that's Kyle the BeckerMAN. He's too cool. In this one he's hittin Jess's hand in the light blue.

Then they come onto the field holding a Real Salt Lake player's hand!!!! I got video, but it's not here. But J-dude was holding Nat Borchers's hand (Denfender) and I'm not sure who Jess got. I was kinda bummed that they didn't get a player they knew on the Rapids, but it was ok. Here they were, courtesy of my dad, who had the wrong camera lens - hence the farawayness:

YAY!!!!

YAY some more!!!

Our National Anthem, which I was too busy getting in my seat and being excited to pay any attention to...:P

THEN...

They ran off. But the fun had literally just begun - the GAME was starting!!!! The only thing was that Christian Gomez didn't play, and he's my fave on the the Rapids. But it was ok. We were winning 1 to nuthin at the half, and I - heheh - wanted the Rapids to win, but I knew Real Salt Lake was awesome too. Sticks and I rushed to our spot to high-five players as they came back out. Snagged more Real Salt Lake guys. But the RAPIDS came out next!!!!!!! And even better... slowly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tom McManus (yes the man himself) high-fives screaming girls with vigor. Terry Cooke and Colin Clark didn't even look at the twenty people yelling and holding out desperate hands:( But that was ok... cuz in everyone's disappointment, I looked up and saw coming down the steps... "GOMEZ!!!!!!!!!!" Yeah I hollered real good, and everybody else started up too. Christian Gomez kinda walked slow and didn't look at us a whole lot, leaning toward the far side where we couldn't reach him. But we yelled all the louder, and he smiled, shrugged and ran down the line again, high-fiving everybody. THAT was the coolest thing, cuz he rocks even more than Beckerman!!!! Ok, maybe not. Well - yeah he does!!!... Alright, it's a tie... no, I dunno... point is: they are both amazing and my hand was dripping with muy famousa soccer-player germs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was soooooooooooooo much fun!!!!!!!!

Hate to spoil things now... but the game ended at a tie and the Rapids needed a win to go to the playoffs, and... their season is done:( BUT that's ok!!!!! Because we had a big blast at the game, and got pictures, and free stuff, the boys got to keep their awesome light blue jerseys, and Sticks and I got to high-five awesome soccer guys. I bet God had fun watching us have all that fun - he tends to do that:)

Peace out!!!:D

Sometimes... things happen.

I hath done it today.
It is finished.
What is finished you ask?
Or maybe you didn't.
Well, I'll tell you anyway.
Anybody know the word.... SAXON?
As in, MATH?
After 10 years - that's one-zero YEARS (which are 365 days each and maybe two or three leap years)
I have DONE IT!
I have finished the LAST Saxon Math lesson I will ever do!
The last lesson of the last book.
I have done it.
I tied up ten years worth of math by drawing a graph on problem 25.
Just that simple!
Ten years!!!
Ten years all done.
Comment and congratulate me, all you jealous people!!!
On yet another school note, I have found that I have enough credits to graduate in the class of 09 and go to college next year. Whoa. But we decided to wait and concentrate on ACT prep, and CLEP prep, and driving. CoOoOoOoOol.
Well, that's my school life. Now to all my other lives.
My writing life is going quite well. Preparing for NaNoWriMo, which you should all do. I am writing many things. Be sure to participate on the ongoing comment story hosted by our dear Pip. Post a comment with your next part of the story! Be creative, yet stay with the storyline somewhat remotely.
God is showing me little new things every day in my spiritual life. I've been thinking a lot on the subject of worship, as has been everybody else on our church worship team. I wrote a post on it here. I'd like to know what YOU think worship is!
My football life is depressing.
My fantasy football team hasn't won yet because I have good players that are performing badly. But Tom Brady's out and the Giants are on a roll.
Hate the Cowboys.
Love their QB.
Complications out my ears.
My movie-making life is rocking. Hear now a top secret, never-to-be-revealed, 100% classified set of lines from one of our not as lame movies, THE SECRET LIFE OF DARTH VADER!!!!!
"Where ya goin' with those chips Darth?"
"Jedi Santita. It would be better for you if you let me and my chips pass. I must get back in time to force-choke Rex Grossman."
"I can't let you do that Darth. Rex Grossman is on my fantasy team!"
And a heated fight ensues. And the crowd goes wild.
How many other lives do I have? I know not. But if they cause trouble, I'll be sure to let you know.
Comment me, people of the world!!!
